FAQs
The answers to your questions
Are private lessons or group lessons better?
Some students learn better without others to distract them, or feel intimidated by other's skills. I've taught photography classes for over 15 years in group settings and privately. If its all about you, you tend to get exactly what you want at even more advanced levels.

It all depends on your comfort level.
Do I need an expensive camera or lenses?
Not at all. Newer technology and better lenses will give you the ability to capture light more easily, especially in challenging situations. You can improve your equipment over time. Most of us have done it that way.
How long does it take to get much better?
It all depends on the student, but I've taught 5 week courses (1 lessson per week) and seen great improvements from many students.

As they say, results may vary, but you'll have a solid foundation of understanding how to do it consistently.
